Choji hamon by “Mukansa” Smith Ono Yoshimitsu

BY LEAVE A COMMENT

Ono Yoshimitsu is a “Mukansa Smith” which means that his  blades  are of such a high level that they are displayed at the annual  sword smith exhibition without examination of a panel of judges.  Since the swords are above competition they can not  be granted with  awards anymore 🙂

The literal translation of the word “Mukansa” means : “without judgment”

You can see Ono Yoshimitsu (with Paul Martin and some film crew)  at work at around 4:33
