It's well written and it gives descent advise on how to choose a sword to your needs .
There is a descent explanation of all the parts and differences in constructionprocess, used materials and their effects and that is a pluspoint towards newly starting people/ enthousiasts .
The fact that u used Zhui Feng / Paul chen swords as a reference , which are easily found and financially accesible towards most people i consider as a positive point.
U could indeed discuss more' brands 'and models ; but I think that giving people 'the basis ' on what to look for in a descent katana is more important .
Since u can go as far as u want in choosing materials and how much u are willing to pay for quality .
A nice guide for the starting people !! good work

I don't see a reason to not publish your post, you're free to speak :)

It seems like we do have a different view (which is fine) but most of their swords are really overpriced. I had one of their folded pieces in my hand that was/is selling +$2000 and it wasn't any better at all than an average $700 fred chen katana. One could argue that their fittings are made of silver/are better but the price gab is just too big to justify that extra cost.

By the way, you don't need to spend $20.000 for a custom forged sword. There are enough sources where you can get one for a few thousand ;)

I don't see where Thaitsuki Nihonto are overpriced at all. In fact they are the only ones I know of that include Silver Seppa, Habaki and Menuki fittings as well as Brass and Steel Tsuba. I find that I find the craftsmanship to be top notch as the 3 that I own are of very high quality. I really like the extra heavy Saya that they make for their swords with silver kurikata and inlay. Since I am a wood worker of 30 years I know quality when I see it here. They pass every qualification that you set here and more. I am not sure where you got your information but I have been very pleased with my purchases with them. I never have to worry whether they will be able to handle hard targets as they have told me several times that if I break any of them during a Tameshigiri session that I should send it back and they will inspect to see if it was a flaw in the steel or a flaw in craftsmanship. Either way, if it was not an intentional attempt to destroy the blade, they said they would replace it. I do not find Hanwei offering to replace blades, or anyone else for that matter and they are the only ones that I know of that offer Silver fittings of this quality within this price range.. Maybe you just have people who don't know any better buying from you but I have been practicing with swords for over 35 years and outside of custom forged orders that run as much as $20,000 I find that Thaitsuki are the best quality for the money. I will understand if you don't wish to publish this post.

Thxs for the feedback and no hard feelings from my side :) I don't carry the Thaitsuki swords because 1. i really don't like them (quality and 'look' wise) 2. they're way overpriced. Try "Thaitsuki review" or anything similar and you will find enough different opinions about them..

What is your opinion of the Thaitsuki Nihonto http://www.thaitsuki.com/index.php and why don't you carry them in your line?
I found your guide to be informative to the beginner/novice, but not much more than that. I would like to see something That I
don't already know about sword construction and quality. I have practiced with the sword for over 35 years and find that
there is very little good information out there on swords. I like what you are doing so please don't take this constructive criticism
the wrong way. You did ask for a straight forward opinion.
