Monday..time to work again and I have no idea how about the weather at your place but It’s raining again here. Lucky for all of us (who’re like to see nice pictures..) that yesterday, there was a lot of sun so I took some more swords out to ‘shoot’ them. I’m just happy we don’t carry 100 different kind of katana because it’s a lot of work to make those pics. Yes, you can thank me because I did it on my ‘day off’ :D

This ‘battle ready katana‘ , the Momo No saru or translated in English as the Peach Monkey Katana is a katana that was made in a limited serie of 500 pcs worldwide. As far is I know, the wakizashi are all sold but they still have a few katana available.

This is one of the best looking sword I have ever seen from Paul Chen. A very elegant look, a very nice shaped tsuka (never seen before on ANY Hanwei sword), high quality rayskin (never seen before too) and a nice folded blade. No I must add that not all of the Monkey katanas we had here where like this piece. This one really jumps out !

So here we go…enjoy it :D

We didn’t do any cutting tests with this katana but it’s a relative ‘light’ katana (although it doesn’t have a hi) with a good balance and quit sharp. For those who might be interested, this one is still available at the moment..

Little update…he’s gone :D…sorry folks..

  8. The blade seems to breath life, for the £699 plus postage etc it is a bargain. Its made with genuine Rayskin really deep quality not the plastic looking one as on most other swords. Its made with genuine silk, again top quality .The scabbard a deep polished finish.AND SHARP? i have never seen a blade this sharp i touched the blade to feel it,silly me , ihave a nice scar on my middle finger tip.

If you collect swords or you call your self a collector…if you aint got one of these your not a true collector..
