Just did some tameshigiri with the new sword.
What a day….it seems like I just woke up but it’s 0.30am here and no I didn’t sleep for a whole day 
. We wrote about it this new samurai sword in a previous post and since we were not very patient at that time, we already did a small cutting test with pine branches.
Anyway, today was the big day for our new baby here ! So we took the tatami we prepared 2 day’s ago to see how well it could perform on these kind of targets. The first target, only 1 tatami was really no match for this sword so after cutting a few single tatami, we placed his big brother on the stand. The double tatami which has an average diameter of 12cm. Even this target wasn’t a problem…
We didn’t prepared bigger targets so I looked around to find something better than just a double tatami and right in front of me there was a small mountain of ‘wood’…Yeah that could become interesting By the way, the type of wood was beech..If you don’t know what’s that, just use brother google.
So I placed the first piece of beech there and ….well just watch the video what is happening..
I don’t think that’s a bad result after all…This is still a fairly cheap katana with a hi (I’m sure a blade without hi can still perform better) and the blade doesn’t show any damage at all after chopping tatami and wood !
The reason why I’m very positive about this word is that the sword really feels like a ’sword’ and not just a piece of steel. I mean, it has a very nice finish and very important a good balance.
I think we saw enough tests with this sword or anyone else have a request ?
Ow and folks…I’m don’t have any experience with performing tameshigiri so don’t look at my technique

The katana looks cheap but it does the job.
I think its realy nice sword that does the job,but moast people want to see a sword like this with out BO-Hi
It will be better do some examples with an XL blade,or add this like option.
