Toyotomi Hideyoshi Ukiyo-e Painting

It’s not a ‘specatcular’ piece (drawed by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi ) but i do like the ‘quiet before the storm’ impression it has. We see Toyotomi Hideyoshi climbing & leading a small group assaulting the castle on Inaba Mountain (1885).

Toyotomi Hideyoshi  was a preeminent daimyo, warrior, general and politician of theSengoku period who is regarded as Japan’s second “great unifier.”
