It's hard to find a folded Okatana like this and we're proud to offer this one in our assortiment. These kind of katanas can not to be confused with the big Nodachi, which were significantly longer than katana. They were common during the Koto period in Ancient Japan. The O-katana is most often forged for a person of great stature, big and strong. With it's almost 84cm long massive blade , it's beating any other katana ! Yet, this blade is still forged and folded in a traditional way, which includes the differential hardening process. It shows an extraordinary hada with lot's of activity. Traditional materials are being used to construct this katana sword. The horse themed blackened Tsuba, Fuchi and Kashira are finely crafted and the brass habaki is giving this katana it's original look.
