The Tachi sword has a bigger sori (curve) than his brother the katana and and was primarily used on a horseback. Tachi swords were hung with the edge down where the katana have it's edge upwards. The blade of this Tachi is forged & folded in a traditional way and comes with a mirror polish witch brings out the hada very nicely. Almost typical for these swords is the beautiful laquered saya with the Mon (family crest) motive and of course the special tying of the sageo.
