If you're looking for a sword to practise Iaido, the Shinto is the one you need, light weight and a perfect balance. WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY
I bought this katana over 1 month ago and am very pleased with it. While it does feature a long handle, it doesn’t give me a bad feeling while using I and it must be one of the reasons why this rather long katana (daisho) has such a great balance !
The fittings are simple but they do give this sword all the honor
it deserves.
I mainly bought it for Iai but already did some cuttingtest on tatami
(double rolls) and no problem at all although I don’t think it would
be a good choice to cut bamboo with it.
Final conclusion : great sword for this price !
