My personal opinion top

Kobusi Battle Ready Katana



A first class battle ready katana. It has a nice looking design, a quality blade and.... it's cheap :D




As you could read in some of our blog posts, we found a new and very capable forge during our last trip to China. After a lot of tweaking, we finally got the first samples in the house and man they rock !



They are exactly what we asked for and believe me that can be a pretty hard thing with most of the Chinese forges. This sword has a 1070 steel blade and is differentially hardened in the traditional way. Which mean that a clay mixture is applied over the surface of the blade in order to create a hard edge and a softer body.



At this point, the forge is making our first batch of swords and we do expect them somewhere in December. So if you want to grab a piece, you can pre order now ! But wait, that s not all, you can pre order and configure your own katana !



Use the option box here on the right side to change the color of ito, sageo, length of the blade,etc.

Nothing leaves this place without checking

Nobody like to receive a katana or any other product with a quality problem. A loose tsuba, seppa, chip in the saya,or any other damage. So before I ship your order , I personally check the quality of the product. Only if it’s 110% ok I will ship it to you.

90 Days return policy

Placing an order online is a great thing but sometimes you feel disappointed when you receive it . Although I’m doing my very best to provide you with a lot of detailed pictures and videos where possible, I do understand your concern . So if you don’t feel comfortable with your purchase just return it. Contact me prior to returning your order. This policy does not apply on any personal made katana or customized katana.

No charging before shipping

In case you pay with visa or mastercard, your card won’t be charged automatically when placing your order. Only when I finished the quality check and the courrier confirmed the pick up of your order, your card will be billed.

Want to customize this sword ?

If this standard model is almost what you’re looking for but it need a few personal tweaks and a 100% custom katana is not an option or needed, I can always give this baby a little ‘facelift’.

Rewrapping the tsuka with the material and or color of your choice, changing fuchi & kashira , tsuba, menuki and or seppa are all possible.

A rewrap of a standard size tsuka (katana) will run around 125 euro, including cotton ito.
