This small collection of shinken
are just great for frequent tameshigiri exercises in your dojo (or at
your home) Cutting goza, multiple rolls of Tatami omote, bamboo and other
medium hard targets are no problem at all for this sword. The addition
of 1,8 – 2,3% silicon to the steel of these blades are making them
very strong but also very flexible and perhaps better cutting katana than
most of the differentially hardened swords. Each shinken
you will find on this page has an unique hamon (created by the clay process)
and you won’t be able to find 2 exact the same swords as it's the
case with most of the 'production' katana on the market today. The smith
put a lot of time & effort in the clay-coating process in order to
give each blade it’s own “soul”. We tested these swords
ourselves and we can guarantee you that these swords are not only beautiful
but also functional and a good katana for the practitioner ! Copyright ©2002-2008
