My personal opinion top

This Practical plus elite katana was made by the Hanwei forge of paul Chen and belongs to a new generation of cutting swords.

Cas Iberia made this new cutting sword in cooperation with Paul Chen and was especially designed the tameshigiri practitioners in het Japanese Martial Arts world who asked for a more suitable and affordable tameshigiri sword.

When comparing with the standard Practical Plus katana, You can see the difference in blade dimensions. This sword really has a 'beefy' blade yet it does not feel as heavy as the Tsunami or Wind&Thunder katana. With such a broad blade, this katana is surprisingly lively and the pronounced distal taper makes a significant difference in it's cutting performance.

Furthermore, The overall theme of this katana is the same as the standard model except for the habaki who does have a very nice falling rain drop design. They did make the tsuka a few cm shorter and the ito on this handle is cotton witch is more suitable for practising.

Nobody like to receive a katana or any other product with a quality problem. A loose tsuba, seppa, chip in the saya,or any other damage. So before I ship your order , I personally check the quality of the product. Only if it’s 110% ok I will ship it to you.

90 Days return policy

Placing an order online is a great thing but sometimes you feel disappointed when you receive it . Although I’m doing my very best to provide you with a lot of detailed pictures and videos where possible, I do understand your concern . So if you don’t feel comfortable with your purchase just return it. Contact me prior to returning your order. This policy does not apply on any personal made katana or customized katana.

No charging before shipping

In case you pay with visa or mastercard, your card won’t be charged automatically when placing your order. Only when I finished the quality check and the courrier confirmed the pick up of your order, your card will be billed.

Want to customize this sword ?

If this standard model is almost what you’re looking for but it need a few personal tweaks and a 100% custom katana is not an option or needed, I can always give this baby a little ‘facelift’.

Rewrapping the tsuka with the material and or color of your choice, changing fuchi & kashira , tsuba, menuki and or seppa are all possible.

A rewrap of a standard size tsuka (katana) will run around 125 euro, including cotton ito.
