This Ryusui katana with Tamahagane blade is about the closest we can offer (at this price point) to a Japanese Nihonto.

My personal opinion top

Ryusui Katana with Tamahagane Blade

 

It took a while before i could get the forge to move their *** to make a few of these tamahangane swords but the wait is over.

As said, the blade made of (Chinese) tamahagane and thanks to the high level , kesho hadori polish, it does show a very attractive steel pattern.

While you could do some light cutting with this sword, i just don't recommend it because you will ruin the polisher's work pretty quickly and a fair amount of the total price of this piece is coming exactly from that :)

The wave themed fittings are made of blackened brass and catfish menuki can be found on the tsuka.

Nobody like to receive a katana or any other product with a quality problem. A loose tsuba, seppa, chip in the saya,or any other damage. So before I ship your order , I personally check the quality of the product. Only if it’s 110% ok I will ship it to you.

90 Days return policy

Placing an order online is a great thing but sometimes you feel disappointed when you receive it . Although I’m doing my very best to provide you with a lot of detailed pictures and videos where possible, I do understand your concern . So if you don’t feel comfortable with your purchase just return it. Contact me prior to returning your order. This policy does not apply on any personal made katana or customized katana.

No charging before shipping

In case you pay with visa or mastercard, your card won’t be charged automatically when placing your order. Only when I finished the quality check and the courrier confirmed the pick up of your order, your card will be billed.

Want to customize this sword ?

If this standard model is almost what you’re looking for but it need a few personal tweaks and a 100% custom katana is not an option or needed, I can always give this baby a little ‘facelift’.

Rewrapping the tsuka with the material and or color of your choice, changing fuchi & kashira , tsuba, menuki and or seppa are all possible.

A rewrap of a standard size tsuka (katana) will run around 125 euro, including cotton ito.
