This Raptor Serie set is a 'limited time' deal and a nice investment if you are looking for a nice and matching set of functional swords.

My personal opinion top
Make your choice between 3 different blade geometries (katana only) and get a matching wakizashi, tanto and a bottle of sword oil.

The blades of this set are made of high performance and unfolded 5160 steel. Just like the 9160 steel, this high carbon steel is known for its strength and durability. Since they blades are through hardened, it doesn’t feature a hamon of course but at this pricepoint, you simply can’t have it all :).

Even at this pricepoint, Hanwei managed it to give these swords a very nice & solid mounting. The tsuka (handle) is wrapped with a black suede ito and very thight.

The Tusba and fuchi&kashira are made of blackened iron and does feature a very nice eagle. The quality of the fittings is really amazing in this price class (I did say it before I know..) .The black saya has a simple stone texture and kojiri, koiguchi and kurikata are made of horn .

Nothing leaves this place without checking

Nobody like to receive a katana or any other product with a quality problem. A loose tsuba, seppa, chip in the saya,or any other damage. So before I ship your order , I personally check the quality of the product. Only if it’s 110% ok I will ship it to you.

90 Days return policy

Placing an order online is a great thing but sometimes you feel disappointed when you receive it . Although I’m doing my very best to provide you with a lot of detailed pictures and videos where possible, I do understand your concern . So if you don’t feel comfortable with your purchase just return it. Contact me prior to returning your order. This policy does not apply on any personal made katana or customized katana.

No charging before shipping

In case you pay with visa or mastercard, your card won’t be charged automatically when placing your order. Only when I finished the quality check and the courrier confirmed the pick up of your order, your card will be billed.

Want to customize this sword ?

If this standard model is almost what you’re looking for but it need a few personal tweaks and a 100% custom katana is not an option or needed, I can always give this baby a little ‘facelift’.

Rewrapping the tsuka with the material and or color of your choice, changing fuchi & kashira , tsuba, menuki and or seppa are all possible.

A rewrap of a standard size tsuka (katana) will run around 125 euro, including cotton ito.
