A Forged Katana & Iaido Sword
This forged katana is the newest addition to our collection of swords.
After 2 years of changing, tweaking and negotiating we’re able to offer
you one of our best swords ever ! This sword will please every Iaidoka or other
sword art practitioner. There can be a discussion about colour combinations
but that's just a matter of taste ..right ? Whatever you like doesn’t
mean your neighbour will like it but in terms of weight, balance and performance
there’s no doubt about it.
The blade (with hi) is made of T10 steel with a traditional stone polish so
no need to say that there aren’t many manufacturers out there that are
offering a stunning polish like this in a sub €900 price range. The polish
does bring out the steel of the structure and creates a very nicely shaped kissaki.
Take a good look at the fuchi & kashira and menuki. These are each pieces
of art on their own I might say. They’re imported from Japan as well as
the cotton ito and sageo. With this katana, you don’t need to worry about
the tsuka and/or wrap. A very good shaped and solid tsuka with a tight wrap
that won’t move during practising.
With it’s 900 gram , it’s an ideal katana for the real practitioner
