  • excellent fittings
My personal opinion top

If you find the Tsunami katana just not good enough to perform lot's of heavy cutting exercises, than this katana is the one you're looking for!

This Japanese sword, the wind & thunder cutting katana from Paul Chen / Hanwei is designed specifically for the martial artist that needs a Japanese sword for the demands of rigorous tameshigiri. The Wind & Thunder katana features a heavier and thicker Japanese sword blade with traditional furniture and fittings.

The Wind & Thunder is fitted with the black iron Raiden tsuba and Tomoe motif fuchi and kashira. The handle is wrapped in genuine same (ray skin) and the tsuka-ito is premium Japanese black cotton. The saya is done in a traditional black laquer and the sageo is also black cotton.

This Japanese sword is an excellent choice for those interested in batto-jutsu.

If you’ve been looking for that perfect high-end sword to add to your collection, the Wind and Thunder just may be the one. Its traditional blade featured a distinct hammon and the fittings only add to its beauty. Your friends will notice this sword when you have it displayed in your collection. You’ll likely want to order this one with a stand to help show of the masterpiece of your katana collection!

This katana does come with a cleaning kit and sword bag !
