Zhui Feng Swords

With Zhui Feng, we're introducing our own 'house brand'. These swords are made by a very small family forge in China and up to now it's the only forge that could exceed my particular requests & expectations.


It did take a couple of years before getting there although but if i compare the first swords from a few years ago with what we have now it was worth the investment of time and cash.

The biggest frustrations i had with other big manufacturers & brands was the fact that you have to take the 'standard' models they offer. In other words it's their way or the highway. And since most of them had (smaller) issues, i became a bit of a frustrated person :)

So what are making these swords different from let's say the Hanwei collection ?

In bullet style :

• non mass produced swords so small batches are all made by hand
• all unique designs made to our specifications
• made for the practitioner in the first place
• better construction (especially the flow of the tsuka with the curvature of the blade)

My Story

My fascination for japanese swords was born around 2005 when i was running my first online martial arts equipment store and a customer asked me if i didn’t got any ‘real’ Japanese Swords...
